Ethiopian Airlines and the Ministry of Tourism have agreed to collaborate on promoting new tourism routes across Ethiopia.
The agreement came following a discussion between officials from the national carrier and the Ministry on ways to boost the country's tourism industry.
Ethiopian Airlines, which flies over 11 million passengers every year, will leverage its global network to provide tourists with information on Ethiopia's top attractions and facilitate visits to various destinations.
On social media, State Minister of Tourism Lensa Mekonnen revealed that the partners will also launch tourist package deals such as "ET Holiday," offering various discounts to make them more appealing.
The Minister said joint efforts in areas like destination promotion and travel packages will "help showcase the best of Ethiopia to the world and deliver a world-class travel experience."
Along with the Minister and Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO Mesfin Tasew, the talks were attended by other top executives to foster closer coordination between the organizations.
